synopsis:

The conversion and rebranding of this former rental property is located at the center of New York's fashion and publishing worlds adjacent to Columbus Circle and Central Park. 580 expansive European-style homes were created through the combination and reconfiguration of 845 generic floor plans. In addition, the existing amenities were expanded and reimagined as the resident’s Sky Club.

The new residences’ overall finishes and proportions of the foyers and larger rooms provided the “homes” with a formality of living while giving them an international modern aesthetic. Gourmet kitchens feature custom details such as Nordic ash floors, full-height metal-trimmed lacquer-and-glass doors, and modern sculptured hardware. Residential penthouses were transformed through the creation of large, gracious floor plans and by replacing narrow ribbon windows with dramatic floor-to-ceiling glass walls.

A three-story, prismatic glass-enclosed amenity pavilion was constructed at the top of the building to create an architectural crown, reflecting the sun and sky while offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline. The pavilion’s hotel-quality furnishings and finishes provide relaxation in a finely crafted, modern setting.
